Good morning ya'll. It's the last day of Sept. 2020.
Our idiom for today is, blow off (some) steam.
This means to to release some energy (or emotions) by doing something you find enjoyable or relaxing.
Example 1
Lately, work has been such a pressure cooker. So last weekend I drove up to Karuizawa and spent both days skiing with friends and family. It was just awesome!
Example 2
A. Where were you last night when I called?
B. I went for a walk to blow off some steam. I lost a bunch of money in the stock market and I just wanted to clear my head.
