Busy season has begun again, and today we will have a look at a phrasal verb used in business situations. 

 

"called in"

 

This means asked to do something.

 

Example 1

 

I was called in to the office by my boss. It was my day off, but it was really important, so I had to go in.

 

Example 2

 

Call Julie in. I have some work for her.
